OSOYOO robotic car learning kit is designed for beginners to learn programming and get hands-on experience on robot design and assembly.
We have developed a step-by-step tutorial which evolves from a simple car without any control to a multi-function robotic car controlled by mobile APP.
Every lesson has detailed sample code with comments, circuit graph, assembly instruction and video. Even if you have no programming experience, you can follow the step-by-step instruction and gradually become a master.
Our robotic car is 100% open source. If you are an intermediate player and have time to read our code comments, you can easily customize this robotic car to make your own project for science fair, college home work or even commercial applications.
This kit contains module parts including OSOYOO MODEL X motor driver module(*), Ultrasonic Sensor module, Tracking module, Infrared Remote Control, Bluetooth module and ESP8266 WIFI shield, etc. With these modules, the robot car can work in multiple modes such as auto-go, infrared control, obstacle avoidance and line tracking. You can use our Android APP to change working mode through WIFI or Bluetooth.
*OSOYOO MODEL X motor driver module is an improved L298N module which has newly designed wiring sockets and can greatly simplify the assembly procedure and wire connection stability.
There are two version WIFI shield in our stock. Blue and black WIFI shield are shipped in random.
If you get blue WIFI shield, please follow the instruction: https://osoyoo.com/?p=21370.
If you get black WIFI shield, please follow the instruction: https://osoyoo.com/?p=32220.

where to buy?
We cannot get WiFi control to work properly. ALL Lesson 1 Sketch runs FINE with same wiring, lesson 7 Sketch (BT control) runs fine, but Lesson 6B control does not work correctly. Motors only run correctly on one side of the car, but not the other. We have checked and rechecked wiring – and as stated previously, Lesson 1 and Lessons 2,3,4,5 and 7 work fine. We also had difficulty compiling the Sketch for Lesson 6A. Any suggestions?
Thank you.
Gerald
Hello Gerald,
When you completed the wiring in Lesson 6, please upload the test code firstly: https://osoyoo.com/driver/l6test.ino.
Does the car work well?
If not, please check the wiring between Model X to UNO board, as the wiring between Model X to UNO board in lesson 6 is diferent from in Lesson 1 and in lesson 7
If yes, are you willing to take a vedio for lesson 6A to my email address: [email protected]
Look forward your reply.
Elaine @OSOYOO
Hi. Where I can download dvd disk? I don’t have dvd reader in my laptop…
There are an on-line user’s manual and disk manual now.
I’ll try to upload on google later. when the link is available, I’ll notice you.
Is there any updates? Where I can download dvd content?
As the size for the manual about 8GB, my google account can’t update so lager files. we updated this manual to pan.baidu.com, Can you download this file?
I don’t see direct link to file. There only text that I need to register on Chinese. Maybe you can upload it here on site?
Hi. In the WIFI-Control-Lesson i like to test the wireing with I6test.ino. But when uploading i get the error:
avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding
avrdude: stk500_getsync() attempt 1 of 10: not in sync: resp=0xbd
Could you help me?
It seems that your Arduino IDE did not recognize your UNO board type and serial port . Normally such error occurs when you forgot to select Board to Arduino Uno and Port in Tools menu.
Did you run lesson 1 sketch code before? Any errors?
Hello,
I have out everything to gather correctly, but when running my robot forward, it tends to drift the left and even adjusting the motors speed on that side is not working. I believe that there is either a variation in each of the motors speed or the slight deformation in each of the wheels, since each one seems to not be symmetric with the others. I dont know what I should do, since this affects my cars direction and my programming????
Hello,
Are you willing to take a vedio about the question and send to my email address: [email protected]?
Elaine
I have two problems. In lesson 1, when I turn on the car, it doesn’t go forward, backwards, left, then right. Am I doing something wrong or is it just the v9 battery that is causing it? And in lesson 2, I can’t get the IR remote to work. Can you help me?
Do you use Carbon zinc batteries to test the robot car?
Please don’t use Carbon zinc batteries as power, as output current of this kind of battery is too low and it is unable to load the robot car.
You can choose 9V alkaline/Ni-MH/lithium Battery。
About IR remote, Do you remove the plastic sheet in battery case?
Are you willing to try the Basic tutorial lesson 9 to test IR receiver and remote?
Elaine
By carbon zinc batteries do you mean the 3.7 volt batteries? Because I used those.
And I will see the less
on 9.
And can you send me the link to lesson 9? I can’t find it on the page.
Never mind. I used the 3.7 volt lithium batteries and the lesson 1 is working. Thank you
hey i used the other optionak battery to put in the one that you need one 9 volt battery how do i turn it on with that??
Have a good night please reply soon, Agg
Hi, Do you mean you want to turn on the car with the 9V battery?
You need to put on the DC connector of the 9V battery case and turn on the car.
yes i have it in the arduino but i dont know how to make the robot move i have uploaded the codes but i do not have a on and off switch for the 9v battery
yes i have it in the arduino but i dont know how to make the robot move i have uploaded the codes but i do not have a on and off switch for the 9v battery
Yes, there is no on/off switch for 9V battery case, you need to insert the DC connector to turn on the car, or install the battery to trun on the car
well i do have it in and nothing was happening ill try to put a different battery because I think i used that battery for something but it still had charge.
thank you and happy thanksgiving if you celebrate it
Beste mensen.
Ik ben begonnen met het monteren van mijn Robot Car. Helaas heeft de batterijhouder van de 18650cel een andere bekabeling als de bouw wijzer. Ook is het meegeleverde USB snoertje niet juist.
Hoe los ik dit op??
Hello,
To test the car, I have bought a 9v alkaline battery. When I do my tests with the USB of the PC, everything is good, but when I switch with the 9v battery, the car isn’t switched on : the leds on the card doesn’t shine, even with the “blink” test, nothing appends. Can you please help me.
Thanks
9V alkaline battery is too weak to run this car. We suggest you use 18650 hi-capacity rechargeable battery or high capacity 9V rechargeable battery. You can buy from following link:
Option 1) Highly recommend to buy 18650 battery + charger package:
https://osoyoo.store/products/osoyoo-2-bay-18mm-65mm-battery-usb-power-charger-with-2pcs-rechargeable-battery-lithium-3-7v-2000mah?variant=31556132307055
If you have Amazon order number, we can give you a 30% discount coupon code to buy above 18650 battery package. Email support at osoyoo dot info to get the coupon.
Option 2)9V li-on rechargeable battery(no need charger)
